Memphis is now in performances at the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport.
Inspired by true events from the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis, Tennessee, the Tony-winning musical follows the fame and forbidden love of a radio DJ who wants to change the world and a club singer who is ready for her big break. The production features a Tony-winning book by Joe DiPietro and a Tony-winning score with music by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan.
Igor Goldin directs a cast that stars Carson Higgins (American Idol) as Huey Calhoun and Breanna Bartley (The Radio City Christmas Spectacular) as Felicia Farrell. The company also features Jared Bedgood (Gator), C. Mingo Long (Delray), Kathryn Markey (Gladys), David McDonald (Mr. Simmons), and Arthur L. Ross (Bobby).
Rounding out the company are Tony Chiofalo, Jessica Crilley, Marissa Girgus, Tatiana Green, Chavon Hampton, Jenny L. Harvey, Brandon Heyward, Michal Kolaczkoskiz, Katie Lombardo, Suzanne Mason, Ivory Mckay, Chris Medlin, Brandon Riddle, and Alec Varcas.
Performances will run through May 8.
