Transport Group has announced casting for its revival of Daniel Berrigan's 1971 play The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, directed by Jack Cummings III, running January 16-February 23 at Abrons Arts Center, with opening night set for Wednesday, February 6, 7:30pm. The production is presented in partnership with the National Asian American Theatre Company.

Mia Katigbak (Awake and Sing!), Eunice Wong (Mourning Becomes Electra), and David Huynh (Henry VI) will star in the production. The creative team will include Peiyi Wong (set and costume design), R. Lee Kennedy (lighting design), and Fan Zhang (sound design).

The play is, according to a press release, "based on the court transcripts of the trial of nine peace activists who broke into a drafting office in Catonsville, Maryland, on May 17, 1968, and burned 378 draft cards with homemade napalm. Father Phil Berrigan and his brother Father Daniel Berrigan lead the movement, joined by seven additional parishioners in their protest for peace. In sharp contrast to the wave of young, liberal extremists at the forefront of the resistance headlines, the Nine give a new face to activism and inspire hundreds of antiwar demonstrations that follow."
