The Actors Fund Gala annual event will pay tribute to performing arts icons.
The Actors Fund has announced the list of honorees set for its annual gala, to be held on Monday, April 25, at the New York Marriott Marquis.
The roster includes actor and producer Michael Douglas, producer and singer/songwriter Emilio and Gloria Estefan (On Your Feet!), NBC Entertainment Chairman and Broadway producer Robert Greenblatt, American prima ballerina Cynthia Gregory, and Tony-winning director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!).
Each of the honorees will receive the Fund’s Medal of Honor, the highest award given by the 134-year-old human services organization serving everyone in performing arts and entertainment. The evening will include special tribute performances by guests to be announced.
"The Actors Fund exists to help everyone in film, television, theater, music and dance," says chairman and Tony-winning actor Brian Stokes Mitchell. "So it’s fitting that we honor this diverse group of accomplished arts and entertainment professionals."
