Jeanne Sakata’s historical play will open in Boston this December.
The cast and creative team have been announced for the Lyric Stage Company production of Hold These Truths, written by Jeanne Sakata. Benny Sato Ambush directs with choreography by Jubilith Moore.
Hold These Truths is the true story of Gordon Hirabayashi, the American son of Japanese immigrants, who resisted internment during World War II. Michael Hisamoto stars as Hirabayashi, alongside Khloe Alice Lin, Gary Thomas Ng, and Samantha Richert, who serve as stage assistants and dancers, performing in the Kabuki tradition.
The creative team will include scenic design by Shelley Barish, costume design by Tobi Rinaldi, lighting design by Karen Perlow, sound design and music composition by Arshan Gailus, and projection design by Johnathan Carr.
Performances are set to run December 1-31.
