”Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” is expected to open on Broadway in 2020.
The Michael Jackson musical Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough has canceled its Chicago engagement at the James M. Nederlander Theatre. The run was scheduled for October 29-December 1.
Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough is still on track to arrive on Broadway in 2020, with a developmental work session taking place this fall. According to press notes, the musical's national tour will premiere in Chicago at an unspecified date in the future.
As previously announced, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage (Ruined, Sweat) will write the book for the musical, with a score featuring hits from Jackson's catalogue. Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris) will choreograph and direct. The musical will be produced by the Michael Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage.
