The honors for Chicago theater were presented on October 22.
Chicago's 2018 Equity Jeff Awards were presented on Monday, October 22, at the Drury Lane Oakbrook.
The night's big winner was Buddy — The Buddy Holly Story from American Blues Theater, which received awards for Production (midsize), director Lili-Anne Brown, performer Zachary Stevenson, musical director Michael Mahler, and its ensemble.
Goodman Theatre also took home several awards, with its staging of A View From the Bridge receiving honors for production (large) and director Ivo van Hove, while its productions of The Wolves and Support Group for Men taking home awards for their respective ensembles.
Additional award recipients included Broadway vets Michael Shannon (director of Traitor at A Red Orchid Theatre), Jared Grimes (choreographer of 42nd Street for Drury Lane Productions), and Caroline Neff (principal actor of Lettie at Victory Gardens Theater).
