The one-night-only event took place at Symphony Space.
Red Bull Theater hosted a benefit reading of Noël Coward's Tonight at 8:30 on Monday, October 15 at Symphony Space.
The reading of Tonight at 8:30 was made up of three short plays from Coward's nine-play cycle: Red Peppers, described by Coward as "a vaudeville sketch sandwiched in between two parodies of music hall songs"; Shadow Play: A Musical Fantasy, a surreal love story between a married couple and their younger selves; and Ways and Means, a madcap comedy about a young couple on the make.
The company was made up of Carson Elrod, Rosemary Harris, Nick Choksi, Joanna Gleason, Mark Linn-Baker, Chessa Metz, Norm Lewis, Talene Monahon, Kristine Nielsen, Bebe Neuwirth, Brad Oscar, Ken Page, Laila Robins, Chris Sarandon, Jeanine Serralles, Derek Smith, Mary Testa, Raphael Nash Thompson, and Michael Urie. Jesse Berger directed, with music direction by Greg Pliska.
