The Tony Award winner will play Eliza Doolittle in Bartlett Sher’s revival through February 17, 2019.
Lincoln Center Theatre has released new photos of Tony Award-winning star Laura Benanti in the Broadway revival of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady.
Benanti's limited engagement as Eliza Doolittle continues through February 17, 2019. Lauren Ambrose, who originated the role in this production, played her final performance on Sunday, October 21. Kerstin Anderson will play Eliza at all Tuesday performances.
Benanti joins a cast of 37 headed by Harry Hadden-Paton, Norbert Leo Butz, Rosemary Harris, Allan Corduner, Jordan Donica, Linda Mugleston, and Clarke Thorell, with Cameron Adams, Shereen Ahmed, Kerstin Anderson, Heather Botts, Rebecca Eichenberger, SuEllen Estey, Christopher Faison, Steven Trumon Gray, Adam Grupper, Michael Halling, Joe Hart, Sasha Hutchings, Mary Claire King, Michael X. Martin, Liz McCartney, Justin Lee Miller, Rommel Pierre O'Choa, Keven Quillon, JoAnna Rhinehart, Tony Roach, Lance Roberts, Blair Ross, Samantha Sturm, Matt Wall, Michael Williams, Minami Yusui, and Lee Zarrett.
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play and Gabriel Pascal's motion picture Pygmalion, My Fair Lady, with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, premiered on Broadway on March 15, 1956. Directed by Bartlett Sher, the new revival features choreography by Christopher Gattelli, with sets by Michael Yeargan, lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Marc Salzberg, and Tony-winning costume design by Catherine Zuber.
