Nellie McKay will release her new CD Normal As Blueberry Pie – A Tribute To Doris Day on October 13. The new disc will include 13 songs made famous by Day, including “Wonderful Guy” (from South Pacific), Fats Waller’s “Mean to Me,” and “Send Me No Flowers.”
In 2006, McKay made her Broadway debut in The Threepenny Opera, winning a Theatre World Award for her performance as Polly Peachum. As a recording artist and songwriter, her work includes Get Away From Me, Pretty Little Head, and Obligatory Villagers.
