New Victory Theater Announces 20th Anniversary Season Lineup

Off-Broadway's New Victory Theater has announced the 16 productions that will be part of its 20th anniversary season in Times Square, running October 2, 2015 through March 22, 2016.

On the season docket are:

Robin Hood and his Merry Men (October 2-11), a new play by Greg Banks that hails from Seattle Children's Theatre under the direction of Allison Narver.

Pedal Punk (December 4-January 3), a new steampunk-styled circus inspired by the art of bicycling from Cirque Mechanics.

Caps for Sale the Musical (February 27-March 6), a theatrical adaptation of Esphyr Slobodkina's 75-year-old children's story written by Michael J. Bobbitt and Ann Marie Sayer and featuring a score by William Yanesh.

Fly (March 11-27), a new play by Trey Ellis and Ricardo Khan of Crossroad Theatre Company about the famed Tuskegee Airmen.

Bello Mania (April 15-May 1), a return engagement of noted clown Bello Nock's Drama Desk Award-nominated solo show.

Benjamin Britten's opera A Midsummer Night's Dream, reimagined by Cape Town's Isango Ensemble (October 30-November 8).

The Gruffalo (October 17-25), a stage musical makeover of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's picture book from the London-based company Tall Stories.

White (November 4-22), a work of modern theater for the very young by Andy Marley and Shona Reppe of Scotland’s Catherine Wheels Theatre Company.

Cuba Vibra! (November 13-29), a dance show capturing Latin rhythms from Havana’s Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba.

Museum of Memories (January 8-17), NIE Theatre’s story of boy who took his own life and now lives on in the remembrances of others.

The Velveteen Rabbit (January 22-31), a stage adaptation of Margery Williams' classic tale of love, loss, and growing up from the UK's Unicorn Theatre.

Untapped! (February 5-21), a new dance production from Brisbane, Australia.

Handa's Surprise (February 12-21), a production adapted from Eileen Brown's picture book by Little Angel Theatre.

The Star Keeper (April 1-3), a puppetry piece from Montréal’s Théâtre de l’Œil.

The Pied Piper (May 6-15), a marionette retelling of the classic Brothers Grimm tale from Carlo Colla & Sons Marionette Company’.

Cité (May 14-22), an original musical using shadow puppetry from Le Clan des Songes/
