The new series from ”Glee” creator Ryan Murphy is produced by 20th Century Fox.
Pop star and Broadway veteran Nick Jonas has joined the roster of musical theater favorites set to appear in Scream Queens, a new Fox network comedy/horror anthology series from Glee and American Horror Story creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, and Dante Di Loreto. Details regarding Jonas' character have not yet been released.
Jonas joins the previously announced Lea Michele, Keke Palmer, and Ariana Grande, all of whom have graced the Broadway stage. Other previously announced actors signed on to the project include Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin (August: Osage County), and Joe Manganiello (True Blood). Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween), and Emma Roberts (American Horror Story).
The network has ordered 15 hour-long episodes, which will premiere in the fall of 2015. The first plot line follows a college campus on which a series of murders take place. Scream Queens is produced by 20th Century Fox Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television.
Nick Jonas, perhaps best known as one-third of the boy band The Jonas Brothers, has appeared on the Great White Way several times. As a child he appeared in Les Misérables, Beauty and the Beast, and Annie Get Your Gun, while more recently he stepped into the starring role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
