Two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz will perform at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) on Saturday, October 13 at 8pm. The evening will include the music that inspired him to become a performer.
Another former Broadway performer, Stephanie Mills, will play SOPAC on November 9 at 8pm. The singer/actress received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance as Dorothy in The Wiz, and has gone on to have many R&B hits.
Additional events in SOPAC’s fall season will include Los Lonely Boys (September 27), the 15th Annual Giants of Jazz benefit concert (October 6), Toots and the Maytals (November 1), The Golden Dragon Acrobats (November 3), Jazz in the Loft (November 4), Carolyn Forché and Alexander String Quartet (November 8), Humpty Dumpty & The Big Book of Nursery Rhymes (November 17), Jessica Kirson & Friends (November 17), Blues in the Loft (November 18), A Chanticleer Christmas (November 29), New York Theatre Ballet in The Nutcracker (December 2), Sarah Shafer and Richard Goode (December 4), It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (December 8), and The Juilliard Jazz Ensemble (December 9).
