North Coast Repertory Theatre, in Solana Beach, CA, has announced casting for its production of The Lion in Winter, to run January 4 – 29, 2012. Andrew Barnicle will direct.
James Goldman’s classic play is a quintessential drama of family strife and competing ambitions that brings modern-day relevance to the intrigues of 12th Century England.
The cast will include Kandis Chappell (Eleanor), Mark Pinter (Henry II), Richard Baird (Richard), Alexandra Grossi (Alais), Jason Maddy (Geoffrey), Kyle Sorrell (Phillip), and Kyle Roche (John).
The creative team will include Marty Burnett (scenic design), Valerie Henderson
(costume design), and Chris Luessmann (sound design).
