The ”Something Rotten!” Tony winner adds one of Broadway’s highest honors to his list of accolades.
Tony Award winner Christian Borle, currently starring on Broadway in Something Rotten! at the St. James Theatre, added another accolade to his collection: a Sardi's caricature. The honor was presented on August 12 following Rotten's matinee performance.
Borle received Tonys for his performances as William Shakespeare in Something Rotten! and Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher. He has also been seen in Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, Monty Python's Spamalot, and Thoroughly Modern Millie, among other shows. On television, he starred for two seasons on the Broadway-themed NBC drama series Smash.
Borle's inscription on his caricature reads: "I'm overwhelmed and astonished. Thank you."
