Worlds collide as three TV icons pose together for photos.
Before he takes Broadway by storm in Allegiance this fall, Star Trek favorite George Takei took in Brian Hargrove and Barbara Anselmi's new musical It Shoulda Been You and visited the cast and creative team backstage.
It Shoulda Been You is described as "a culture clash for the ages" that follows two families who come together to celebrate a wedding. Directed by David Hyde Pierce, the production stars Tyne Daly and Harriet tHarris play mothers of the bride and groom, alongside Sierra Boggess, Lisa Howard, David Burtka, Edward Hibbert, Chip Zien, Montego Glover, Josh Grisetti, Michael X. Martin, Anne L. Nathan, and Nick Spangler.
Allegiance is inspired by Takei's true childhood experiences, and is set during the period of Japanese-American internment in World War II. It begins performances October 6, with opening night set for November 8 at the Longacre Theatre.
