The Tennessee Williams classic opens tonight at the Booth Theatre.
Tennessee Williams' classic American play The Glass Menagerie celebrates its official opening this evening at the Booth Theatre — the play's seventh Broadway opening since its 1945 premiere.
Two-time Tony Award winner Cherry Jones (Doubt) leads the company as domineering matriarch Amanda Wingfield. She is joined by Zachary Quinto (Angels in America) as her son, Tom; Tony Award nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher) as her emotionally and physically fragile daughter, Laura; and Brian J. Smith (The Columnist) as Jim O'Connor, The Gentleman Caller.
The cast comes to Broadway following an acclaimed run at the renowned American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tony Award winner John Tiffany (Once) helms the eagerly anticipated revival of Williams' semi-autobiographical memory play.
