Original Next to Normal Stars and More Set for Tom Kitt and Friends Concert

The one-night-only event is part of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Several original cast members from the Broadway production of Next to Normal will reunite to take part in the one-night-only concert event Tom Kitt and Friends, on Monday, July 13 at PTC Performance Space. The concert is part of the 2015 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, Tony nominee Jennifer Damiano, and Louis Hobson are the Next to Normal cast members who will take the stage during the show, alongside Amy Spanger and Joe Cassidy, who appeared in the earlier iteration of that show, titled Feeling Electric. The concert will also feature Adrienne Warren (Kitt's Bring It On: The Musical), Jonathan Dokuchitz (Hairspray), and Ben Schrader (The Book of Mormon). Additional cast members will be announced.

Kitt won the Tony Award for Best Score and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Next to Normal. He is also the coauthor of If/Then and High Fidelity. As an arranger, he won a Tony for the orchestrations of Next to Normal, and contributed orchestrations to American Idiot and Everyday Rapture, among other shows.
