Original Spring Awakening Cast Members to Reunite for One-Night Concerts

Cast members from the original Broadway and touring productions of Spring Awakening will come together on August 30 at 54 Below in Spring & Summer. The events, which come on the heels of three sold-out shows in June, will be an all-new concert with different song choices.

Audiences can expect to hear a variety of different musical styles and some behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the actors' time with the show, however, press notes state that this is not a presentation of the musical or its songs.

The 7:00pm and 9:30pm concerts will star Krystina Alabado (American Idiot), Christy Altomare (Mamma Mia!), Julie Benko (Les Misérables), Justin Scott Brown (ACT’s A Little Night Music), Amanda Castaños, Brian Charles Johnson (American Idiot), Caitlin Kinnunen (The Bridges of Madison County), Anthony Lee Medina (STARZ’s Flesh and Bone), Ben Moss (Brooklynite), Eryn Murman (5j Barrow), Claire Sparks, Taylor Trensch (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), Gabe Violett, Lucas Wells, Remy Zaken (Brooklynite), Zach Reiner-Harris, and more.

The evening will feature musical direction by Charity Wicks and is produced by Shoshana Feinstein.

The 54 Below Spring Awakening reunion will take place only days before the previously announced Broadway revival of Spring Awakening begins previews at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
