Origin's 1st Irish Theatre Festival to Celebrate 10th Anniversary in January

This year’s lineup includes Enda Walsh’s ”Disco Pigs” and ”Party Face” starring Hayley Mills.

The Origin's 1st Irish Theatre Festival, New York's only all-Irish theater festival, will be returning to New York for its 10th anniversary next month. It will take place January 9-29, 2018.

Among the highlights of this year's lineup is a previously announced 20th anniversary production of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs, starring Evanna Lynch and Colin Campbell in their U.S. stage debuts, and directed by John Haidar. Disco Pigs will run at Irish Repertory Theatre January 5-February 18.

Also previously announced was Isobel Mahon's Party Face, starring Hayley Mills, Klea Blackhurst, Gina Costigan, Brenda Meaney, and Allison Jean White, and directed by Amanda Bearse. Party Face will run at New York City Center – Stage II January 11-April 8.

In addition, two plays will be performed in repertory at The Cell. Derek Murphy will present the world premiere of Dying for It in a production starring Maria Deasy, Adam Petherbridge, Sarah Street, and Aoife Williamson, and directed by John Keating, running from January 16-28. And Bernard McMullan's Jimmy Titanic will return to New York in a production starring Colin Hamell and directed by Carmel O'Reilly, running January 25-27.
