Performing Artist John Kelly to Make His Solo Debut at Joe’s Pub

Artist, dancer, actor, and cabaret performer John Kelly is set to make his solo debut at Joe’s Pub, October 14 and 28 at 7pm and November 4 at 9:30pm.

At this concert performance, Kelly will perform songs by Kurt Weill, Charles Aznavour, The Incredible String Band, Holcombe Waller, and Carol Lipnik using his 3-octave range as well as channel his alter-ego Dargelos (brother of Dagmar Onassis).

Kelly’s oeuvre also includes dance theater works, concerts and exhibitions of visual art and video at MOMA, the MIT List Visual Art Center, and Philadelphia’s Institute for Contemporary Art. He has received numerous awards including two Bessie Awards, two Obie Awards, and an Eliot Norton Best Actor Award.

In addition, Kelly played the lead role in James Franco’s film The Clerk’s Tale in 2010.
