Sheehan will play Billy Bigelow opposite Jennifer Ellis as Julie Jordan at Reagle Music Theatre.
Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston will open its 48th summer season with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel, running from June 9-19 at the Robinson Theatre. The production will be directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone with music direction by Dan Rodriguez.
With music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Carousel is a love story following an innocent millworker and a swaggering carnival barker. Reagle's production will feature Boston actress Jennifer Ellis (My Fair Lady) as Julie Jordan and Broadway star Ciarán Sheehan (The Phantom of the Opera) as Billy Bigelow.
This iconic American classic features some of the most powerful music ever written for the stage, including "If I Loved You," "Mister Snow," "June Is Bustin' Out All Over," and the iconic "You’ll Never Walk Alone."
Reagle’s 48th Summer Season will also include Thoroughly Modern Millie (July 7-17) and Crazy for You (August 4-14).
