A cast member from the Broadway production of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark appeared as the title character to throw the first pitch of the Trenton Thunder game vs. Richmond on Thursday, June 21.

The costumed character also posed for a few photos with players and with kids at the game.

Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which performs at the Foxwoods Theatre, is inspired by over 40 years of Marvel comic books. It follows the story of teenager Peter Parker, whose unremarkable life is turned upside-down when he’s bitten by a genetically altered spider and must learn that with great powers comes great responsibility.

The show features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley, original direction by Julie Taymor, and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
