Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman attended the February 4 performance of the Irish Repertory Theatre‘s acclaimed revival of the musical Ernest in Love.
Based on Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, the musical has a book and lyrics by Anne Croswell and music by Lee Pickriss. Charlotte Moore has directed the production, which runs through February 14.
The company features Annika Boras (Gwendolen), Brad Bradley (Lane/ Merriman), Kerry Conte (Alice/Effie), Katie Fabel (Cecily), Beth Fowler (Lady Bracknell), Kristin Griffith (Miss Prism), Ian Holcomb (Algernon), Peter Maloney (Dr. Chasuble), and Noah Racey (Jack).
Jackman won the Tony for The Boy From Oz and recently appeared on Broadway in A Steady Rain. His film work includes playing Wolverine in the X-Men series.
