Tony Award winner Jason Alexander received the Julie Harris Award for Lifetime Achievement at The Actor’s Fund’s 16th Annual Tony Awards Party, held on Sunday, June 10 at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. Annie Potts presented him with the award.
Tony and Emmy nominee Scott Bakula hosted the event, which also included cocktails, dinner, and a live telecast of the Tony Awards.
Luke Yankee served as event director, with the evening produced and written by David Rambo. Guests included Loni Anderson, Bryan Batt, Orson Bean, Theodore Bikel, George Chakiris, Bryan Cranston, Brad Ellis, Frances Fisher, Ilene Graff, Richard Herd, Peter Hunt, Anne Jeffreys, James Karen, Michael Learned, Ruta Lee, Alan Mandel, Patricia Morison, Charlotte Rae, Holland Taylor, Barbara Van Orden, and Bruce Vilanch.
The evening included a special musical tribute by Lorna Luft, who lead the audience in a special rendition of “Happy Birthday” to her mother Judy Garland, on what would have been her 90th birthday and the Gay Men’s Chorus Los Angeles, who serenaded Mr. Alexander with “Marry Me” from his Broadway hit The Rink.
