On Thursday, April 5, the Broadway revival of Evita opened at the Marquis Theatre.

Opening night guests included the show’s creators — Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice — along with Rob Ashford, Bryan Batt, Ruben Blades, Sierra Boggess, Kim Cattrall, Will Chase, Desmond Child, Patricia Clarkson, Tovah Feldshuh, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Kathy Griffin, Cheyenne Jackson, Gayle King, Constantine Maroulis, Debra Messing, Lin-Manuel Miranda, David Hyde Pierce, Tonya Pinkins, Karine Plantadit, Anthony Rapp, Josefina Scaglione, Marlo Thomas, Barbara Walters, Anna Wintour, Bernie Williams, and Vanessa Williams.

Michael Grandage directs the production, which stars Ricky Martin as Che, Elena Roger as Eva, and Michael Cerveris as Juan Perón. The cast also features Max Von Essen as Magaldi, Rachel Potter as Mistress, and Christina DeCicco, who is the alternate/standby for Eva Peron.
