PigPen Theatre Co. Releases New Album

PigPen Theatre Co. has released a new album, called Whole Sun. The group is perhaps best known for their stage production The Old Man and the Old Moon, which played several engagements in New York City and across the country.

Made up of Alex Falberg, Ben Ferguson, Curtis Gillen, Matt Nuernberger, Ryan Melia, Dan Weschler, and Arya Shahi, PigPen is a band of multi-instrumentalists that trades off an eclectic collection of instruments to give PigPen’s story-driven songs their wide-ranging but always evocative, atmosphere. Whole Sun was funded in two days on Kickstarter and raised $50,000 in preorders.

PigPen Theatre Co. began creating their unique brand of music, film, and theatre as freshmen at the Carnegie Mellon University in 2007. Their debut album, Bremen, was released in 2012 and a follow-up EP, The Way I'm Running, was released in 2013. They were also the inaugural participants in TheaterMania's Kitchen Concert series.
