Plays by Josh Radnor and More Set for Powerhouse Theater Season

Vassar and New York Stage and Film have announced the lineup for their upcoming, 33rd Powerhouse season this summer.

The lineup includes Josh Radnor's Sacred Valley, directed by Sheryl Kaller (June 29-July 29); Ken Armento's Good Men Wanted, directed by Jaki Bradley and choreographed by Ani Taj (July 20-30); Lisa Kron and Peter Lerman's Stilyagi, directed by Michael Mayer (June 23-25); There Ain't No Discowritten by Stephen Trask, Peter Yanowitz, and Rick Elice, and directed by Trip Cullman (June 30-July 2); and Lynn Nottage, Duncan Sheik, and Susan Birkenhead's The Secret Life of Bees, directed by Sam Gold (July 27-29).

Workshop productions include Lauren Yee's The Great Leap (July 7-9) and Stacy Osei-Kuffour's Hang Man, directed by Leah C. Gardiner (July 28-30).

Now in its 33rd year, Powerhouse Theater is a collaboration between New York Stage and Film and Vassar College dedicated to both emerging and established artists in the development and production of new works for theater and film. The Powerhouse program consists of an eight-week residency on the Vassar campus during which more than 300 professional artists and 40 participants in the Powerhouse Training Program live and work together to create new theater works.
