Playwright Lucy Kirkwood Set to Make Broadway Debut With The Children

The Royal Court Theatre's production of Lucy Kirkwood's new drama The Children is set to open at Broadway's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre tonight, December 2. Previews began November 28.

The work follows a pair of retired scientists who are visited by an old friend for a shocking reason as the world outside is torn apart by a nuclear disaster. Original London cast members Francesca Annis, Ron Cook, and Deborah Findlay star. James Macdonald directs.

The production features scenic and costume design by Miriam Buether, lighting by Peter Mumford, and sound by Max Pappenheim.
