Stage, television, and film star Polly Bergen, who recently appeared on Broadway in Cabaret and Follies, has been announced as Mark Hamill’s co-star in the upcoming Broadway production of Richard Alfieri’s Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks.
Bergen replaces Rue McClanahan, who withdrew from the show in June. McClanahan and Hamill has previously appeared in the play at Florida’s Coconut Grove Playhouse. (Click here to read TheaterMania’s news item on McClanahan’s departure from the Broadway production.)
Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks will be directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman. The show will begin previews at the Belasco Theatre on October 7 and its press opening is scheduled for Wednesday, October 29.
