Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the lineup of productions slated for its 2015-16 season.

The world premiere of Hamlet in Bed will open the season, running from August 28-October 25. Written by Michael Laurence and directed by Lisa Peterson, the story follows Michael, a neurotic actor obsessed with finding his real mother and playing the famous gloomy Dane. The play is described as "a twisty and darkly comic story about mothers and sons — about what it means to live a life in the theatre, both a generation ago, and now — and about families — the ones we’re born into, and the ones we find along the way."

The New York premiere of Ironbound, a coproduction with Women’s Project Theater, will follow, running from March 2-April 10, 2016. Written by Martyna Majok and directed by Daniella Topol, the play follows Darja through three relationships (and three presidencies). Over the course of 22 years, Darja negotiates for her future with men who can offer her love or security, but never both.

The world premiere of Cal in Camo, a coproduction with Colt Coeur, will then run from April 23-June 4, 2016. Written by William Francis Hoffman and directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, the play is described as follows: "Cal's worst fear about motherhood has come true and in a desperate attempt to understand her present she summons her only connection to a long lost past."

Rattlestick's 2015-16 programming will also include The Bachelors, written by Caroline V. McGraw, directed by Portia Krieger, and produced by Lesser America. Performances will run from November 7-29. Set in a rundown fraternity house, the story is described as follows: "There's a party tonight on fraternity row, but it is not the blaring music that makes sleep impossible. Tonight, these bachelors will understand what their choices have really gotten them."
