Conceived and written by Roderick and James Hindman, the show centers on a fictional girl group that reunites to raise money to save Sandy Shores Mobile Home Beach Resort. The show will feature over 30 hit tunes from the 1960s and 1970s, including “It’s In His Kiss,” “Yellow Polka Dot Bikini,” “Heat Wave,” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
Roderick is currently directing Mame for Goodspeed. Among his other credits with the theater are Singin’ in the Rain, My One And Only , 42nd Street, and Hello! My Baby.
In addition to The Bikinis, the season at the Norma Terris Theatre will include, as previously announced, The Great American Mousical, directed by Julie Andrews, and the previously reported Amazing Grace, to be directed by Gabriel Barre.
