The full cast has been announced for Target Margin Theater’s Uncle Vanya. This will conclude the 2011-2012 season, titled “After Anton,” with a reimagined look at Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. Performances begin Thursday, April 26 at HERE.
In the play, Uncle Vanya and his niece Sonya have worked slavishly to sustain an estate in decline. And so it has been for years, until Sonya’s father and his new wife turn this bucolic scene into a hotbed of disillusionment and consuming unrequited love.
Directed by David Herskovits, the cast features Clare Barron (Marina), Don Castro (Telegin), Rebecca Hart (Helena), Susan Hyon (Sonya), Mary Neufeld (Serebryakov), Edward O’Blenis (Astrov), Greig Sargeant (Vanya), and Yuri Skujins (Mme. Voynitskaya), who replaces previously announced Steven Rattazzi.
The creative team includes Laura Jellinek (Sets), Annie Simon (Costumes), Lenore Doxsee (Lighting), Kate Marvin (Sound & Dramaturg), David Herskovits (Sound), and Kate Foster (Props). The Production Stage Managers are Ryan Gohsman and Phillip Rudy.
