Tony-winning songwriters Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty return to the stage with their new musical, Little Dancer, which plays The Kennedy Center through November 30. Directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, the production stars Broadway favorite Rebecca Luker as Marie van Goethem, a former dancer who looks back on her life to reveal that she was the muse of the artist Edgar Degas (played by Boyd Gaines) and his inspiration for his sculpture “Little Dancer, Age 14.” Playing the younger version of Marie is Tiler Peck, a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.

In this clip from rehearsals, watch the full company perform the opening number, “C’est Le Ballet.”
