As previously announced, the 34th annual off-Broadway awards will take place on May 5.
Rebecca Naomi Jones (Oklahoma!) and Gideon Glick (To Kill a Mockingbird) will announce the nominees for the 34th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards on Wednesday, April 3, at noon ET. The awards for outstanding achievement off-Broadway will be handed out on Sunday, May 5, at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts beginning at 7pm EST.
As previously announced, this year's special honorees include the casting office Telsey Company, receiving the Outstanding Body of Work Award; playwright María Irene Fornés (Pulitzer Prize finalist for What of the Night?), receiving the Playwrights' Sidewalk honor; and Terry Byrne (general manager of the Westside Theatre for 28 years), receiving the Edith Oliver Service to Off-Broadway Award.
The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation, with additional support provided by TDF. Members of the general public may purchase tickets to the awards presentation beginning April 3.
