Project Shaw will present George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion on Monday, November 19 at 7pm at The Players Club. David Staller will direct.
Pygmalion follows the comic story of Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor, and Eliza Dolittle, an uneducated English flower girl he takes under his wing.
The cast will be lead by Reg Rogers as Higgins and Ana Reeder as Eliza. It will also feature Daniel Jenkins (Colonel Pickering), Daniel Davis (Alfred Doolittle), Cynthia Harris (Mrs. Higgins), Jeanne Lehman (Mrs. Pearce), Robin Leslie Brown (Mrs. Eynsford-Hill), Zachary Spicer (Freddie Eynsford-Hill), along with Emily Taplin Boyd and Ian Gould.
Michael Musto of the Village Voice will narrate the reading, and the evening’s guest host will be Terry Teachout of the Wall Street Journal.
