Casting has been announced for the New York premiere of Paula Vogel's Indecent, a new production of Vineyard Theatre in association with La Jolla Playhouse and Yale Repertory Theatre. The work begins previews beginning April 27 and opens May 17.

Cocreated and directed by Rebecca Taichman, the new play with music is inspired by the controversial Broadway debut of Sholem Asch’s 1923 play God of Vengeance. Some saw it as a seminal work of Jewish culture, and others as an act of traitorous libel. Vogel's play features music composed by Lisa Gutkin, with choreography by David Dorfman.

The company will be made up of Katrina Lenk (Once), Mimi Lieber (Act One), Max Gordon Moore (Relatively Speaking), Tom Nelis (The Visit), Steven Rattazzi (The Fourth Sister), Richard Topol (Fish in the Dark), and Adina Verson (Him).
