The Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman musical is headed to Boston.
The cast and creative team have been announced for Lyric Stage Company's upcoming production of Road Show, running from January 12-February 11, 2018.
Directed by Spiro Veloudos, Road Show features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by John Weidman — the collaborators behind the award-winning musicals Pacific Overtures and Assassins. The musical is the boom-and-bust story of two of the most colorful and outrageous fortune-seekers in American history. From the Alaskan Gold Rush to the Florida real estate boom in the 1930s, entrepreneur Addison Mizner and his fast-talking brother Wilson were proof positive that the way to the American dream is often a seductive, treacherous tightrope walk.
The cast features Neil A. Casey (Addison Mizner), Tony Castellanos (Wilson Mizner), Jordan Clark (Myrna), Sean McGuirk (Papa Mizner), Brandon Milardo, Vanessa J. Schukis (Mama Mizner), and Patrick Varner (Hollis), along with ensemble members Shannon Lee Jones, Robin Long, David Makransky, and Will McGarrahan.
The creative team includes scenic design by Cristina Todesco, costume design by Amanda Mujica, lighting design by John R. Malinowski, and sound design by Elizabeth Cahill.
Road Show is codirected and choreographed by Ilyse Robbins, with music direction by Jonathan Goldberg.
