Up-and-coming playwright Robbie Robertson’s comedic adaptation of the 1960s sexploitation film Satan in High Heels will make its off-Broadway debut at Dixon Place on October 30. The remaining performances will be held at TheaterLab NYC from November 1-3.

Satan in High Heels tells the story of an ambitious (and sociopathic) carnival striptease dancer, Stacy Kane, played by Karen Stanion (Reasons to Live), who sets out on a quest to become a Manhattan cabaret singer by sleeping her way to the top.

Robertson’s first play, Mina Tonight!, has been produced by a number of regional theaters across the country, and his latest screenplay, Sweet Child of Mine, was named one of the top 12 comedy scripts at the Austin Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. TOSOS Artistic Director Mark Finley will helm the project.
