SpeakEasy Stage Company’s production begins this evening.
Robert O'Hara's comedy Bootycandy starts its run tonight at SpeakEasy Stage Company.
Presented as a series of loosely linked vignettes, the show takes an audacious and comic look at race, sex, and sexuality. It is based on the author’s own experiences, and confronts how we talk about our bodies at home, in church, and in the theater with brutal and heartfelt honesty.
The show is directed by Summer L. Williams, and the cast features Johnny Lee Davenport, Jackie Davis, Tiffany Nichole Greene, John Kuntz, and Maurice Emmanuel Parent.
Performances will run through April 9.
