The Joyce Theater has announced its line-up for the 2013 Spring/Summer season, which will include several individuals who have worked on Broadway.
Ronald K. Brown, who choreographed the recent Broadway revival of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, will bring his Evidence dance company to the Joyce, February 12-17. Two-time Tony winner Bill T. Jones will be represented as the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company commemorates thirty years of creativity and impact with Play and Play: an evening of movement and music, March 26-April 7. Savion Glover, who won a Tony for his Bring in ‘Da Noise, Bring in ‘Da Funk choreography, will perform June 18-July 6.
Some of the other companies to participate in the season include Ballet Hispanico, Ballet Tech, Buglisi Dance Theatre, DanceBrazil, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Khmer Arts Ensemble, Martha Graham Dance Company, Pilobolus, RIOULT Dance NY, Séan Curran Company, Stephen Petronio Company, and Working Women.
