The Acting Company will present Marcus Gardley’s drama at the Theatre at St. Clement’s.
Obie winner Roslyn Ruff (The Piano Lesson) will star in Marcus Gardley's X: or, Betty Shabazz v. the Nation, running January 14-February 18 at the Theatre at St. Clement's.
Ian Belknap directs this look at the assassination of Malcolm X, which deepens our understanding of one of America’s most complex, compelling historical figures, and explores the tumultuous landscape of ideology and activism in the 1960s. The Acting Company produces.
Ruff will play Betty Shabazz, with a cast that also includes Jimonn Cole as Malcolm X, Kevis Hillocks, J.D. Mollison, Austin Purnell, Joshua David Robinson, William Sturdivant, and Tatiana Wechsler.
