Carnegie Hall has announced that Ryan Silverman (Side Show) and Bryonha Marie Parham (The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) will join the cast of its benefit concert performance of Leonard Bernstein's Candide on April 18 in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Silverman will play Maximilian, and Parham will be Paquette. They join the previously announced Paul Appleby (playing Candide), Erin Morley (Cunegonde), Patricia Racette (Old Lady), William Burden (Governor), and John Lithgow (Voltaire, Dr. Pangloss).

Also joining the cast are Glenn Seven Allen and Ross Benoliel (Inquisitors); Christine DiGiallonardo, Andrea Jones-Sojola, David Scott Purdy, and Nathaniel Stampley (vocal quartet); and Paloma Garcia-Lee, Stephen Hanna, Akina Kitazawa, and Devin Roberts (ensemble dancers).

Gary Griffin (Honeymoon in Vegas) directs the concert production, with Rob Fisher as musical director conducting the Orchestra of St. Luke's and Mansfield University Concert Choir, and Joshua Bergasse (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as choreographer. Additional creative personnel include costume designer Tracy Christensen, lighting designer Alan Adelman, projections designer Wendall K. Harrington, and sound designer Scott Lehrer.

Based on Voltaire's satirical tale of the same name, Candide serves as the culminating performance of Carnegie Hall's celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bernstein's birth. The concert will provide support for the artistic and music education programs of Carnegie Hall.
