The production will be directed by Sam Gold.
Two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field and two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello will return to Broadway next spring to star in a new revival of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie. Tony winner Sam Gold will stage the production, which begins previews February 14, 2017, at the Belasco Theatre. Opening is set for March 23.
Gold's production originated at the Toneelgroep Amsterdam in 2015, and featured an all-Dutch cast. The New York mounting stars Field (The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?) as Amanda Wingfield, Mantello (The Normal Heart) as Tom, Madison Ferris in her Broadway debut as Laura, and Finn Wittrock (Death of a Salesman) as the Gentleman Caller.
The Glass Menagerie will feature the entire design team from the Toneelgroep Amsterdam production, including Andrew Lieberman (scenic design), Wojciech Dziedzic (costume design), Adam Silverman (lighting design), and Bray Poor (sound design).
The drama was last seen on Broadway in a 2013 production directed by John Tiffany.
