Stars are flocking to see Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Following the performance on Saturday, August 22, the guest list included two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field, Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale, four-time New York Yankees World Series Champion Jeff Nelson, and Tony nominee Marin Ireland.
The August 22 performance of Hamilton was Field's third time seeing the show. She was also there on opening night, alongside playwright John Patrick Shanley. She will be attending the show again in the coming weeks.
Cannavale was also a repeat visitor, seeing the show for the second time on August 22.
By Cannavale's side for the show was his son, Jake Cannavale, who recently made his Broadway debut in Larry David's Fish in the Dark.
Retired Major Leaguer Nelson was joined by his wife, Sheri, for the performance.
The relief pitcher was part of the New York Yankees' World Series championship teams in 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2000.
Hamilton fan Ireland said hi to cast member Jonathan Groff after the show.
Directed by Thomas Kail and inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton explores the life of the American founding father and first Secretary of the Treasury, as well as his experiences as an orphan of the British West Indies who immigrated to the 13 Colonies and helped shape the United States of America. It began Broadway previews July 13, with opening night on August 6 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Hamilton had its world premiere at the Public Theater.
