Duncan joins a cast led by Tony Yazbeck and Laura Michelle Kelly.
Iconic Peter Pan star Sandy Duncan officially returned to Neverland and Broadway on February 12 as she joined the cast of Finding Neverland in the role of Madame du Maurier. Duncan's engagement in the show will continue through March 27 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
Directed by Diane Paulus, Finding Neverland opened on Broadway in April after a 2014 tryout run at the American Repertory Theater. With a score by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham, Finding Neverland explores the friendship of playwright J.M. Barrie and Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, a widowed mother whose four boys inspired the beloved Peter Pan stories. It is based on the 2004 film of the same title, which itself was based on Allan Knee's play The Man Who Was Peter Pan.
Duncan joins a company headed by Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck as J.M. Barrie, Laura Michelle Kelly as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, and Emmy winner Kelsey Grammer as Charles Frohman/Captain Hook.
