In addition to Shakespeare, the company will present Kenneth Lonergan’s ”The Waverly Gallery”, Suzan-Lori Parks’s ”Topdog/Underdog”, and more.
Shakespeare & Company has announced its 2019 summer season, all presented under the theme "The Strings of the Heart."
The Shakespeare plays being produced this season will include Twelfth Night (July 2-August 4), The Taming of the Shrew (July 9-August 17), The Merry Wives of Windsor (August 8-September 1), and a special workshop production of Coriolanus (August 21-25), featuring Tony nominee John Douglas Thompson.
The season's contemporary plays will include Oscar winner Kenneth Lonergan's The Waverly Gallery (May 23-July 14), Lucy Kirkwood's Tony-nominated The Children (July 18-August 18), Suzan-Lori Parks's Pulitzer Prize-winning Topdog/Underdog (August 13-September 8), and Donald Margulies's Tony-nominated Time Stands Still (September 13-October 13).
