Shakespeare's Globe Macbeth, Starring Joseph Millson, Hits Movie Screens Today

The Shakespeare's Globe production of Macbeth hits movie screens across the U.S. today, Tuesday, November 11, via Globe on Screen.

Directed by Tony nominee Eve Best (Nurse Jackie), the cast is led by Joseph Millson as Macbeth and Samantha Spiro as Lady Macbeth, alongside Moyo Akandé, Geoff Aymer, Bette Bourne, Stuart Bowman, Billy Boyd, Jonathan Chambers, Philip Cumbus, Gawn Grainger, Harry Hepple, Jess Murphy, Colin Ryan, Cat Simmons, and Finty Williams. The creative team includes Mike Britton (designer), Olly Fox (composer), and Charlotte Broom and Sian Williams (choreography).

Shakespeare's supernatural tragedy follows Macbeth as he attempts to occupy the throne of Scotland, which was prophesied by a trio of witches. This production originated at the Globe at London's South Bank in 2013.
