Check out the stars who will take the stage at 54 Below in March.
Several Broadway favorites previewed their upcoming concerts at nightclub 54 Below on Monday, February 23. These shows will take place throughout the month of March.
Side Show stars Emily Padgett and Erin Davie will reunite to appear in their own concert on March 5, during which they'll sing tunes from that musical and hits from their careers. They'll also take part in the March 9 show The Cast of Side Show: Added Attractions, which will bring together more cast members from the show's recent revival in an evening hosted by book writer Bill Russell and featuring composer Henry Krieger.
Tony Award winner and opera sensation Paulo Szot (South Pacific) returns to 54 Below from February 24-28 with a brand-new show celebrating the collaboration of Frank Sinatra and Brazilian singer-songwriter Antônio "Tom" Carlos Jobim ("The Girl From Ipanima").
The Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Terrence McNally musical A Man of No Importance will be celebrated with a 54 Sings concert on March 15, featuring Broadway vets Christopher Fitzgerald, Marin Mazzie, Douglas Sills, Rose Hemingway, Colin Donnell, and Jim Norton. The show is produced and directed by T. Oliver Reid, with musical direction by Shawn Gough.
Another entry into the 54 Sings series is Jerry Herman's musical Mack & Mabel, which will be performed on March 8 in an evening directed and hosted by Phil Geoffrey Bond. With musical direction by John Fischer, the concert will star Brent Barrett, Beth Leavel, Molly Pope, Kelli Rabke, Lee Roy Reems, Emily Skinner, and many others.
