New York comedians Tina Giorgi, Joe Moffa, and more star in this comedy about four Italian-Americans.
Shut Up Sit Down & Eat, a comedy created by and starring New York comedians Tina Giorgi, Joe Moffa, Chris Monty, and Eric Tartaglione, is set to return to the Snapple Theater Center for an off-Broadway engagement from February 15-May 31. Eve Brandstein directs.
The show is described as a "plomedy," a cross between stand-up comedy and a play. It centers on four Italian-Americans who take their issues into their own hands when their group therapist fails to show up for their session.
Shut Up Sit Down & Eat has been performed over 120 times across the country at theaters, clubs, and casinos. Its original run at the Snapple Theater Center was presented from October 12-December 28 with an opening night on October 26. It is a past nominee for the Off-Broadway Alliance's "Best Unique Theatrical Experience" award.
