The Broadway production will close earlier than expected.
The new Broadway revival of John Guare's Six Degrees of Separation will end its run at the Ethel Barrymore Theater on Sunday, June 18. The originally scheduled closing date was July 16. It will have played 21 previews and 63 regular performances.
Trip Cullman directs the production, which stars seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney (The West Wing) and Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart) star as Ouisa and Flan, alongside Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) as Paul. Hawkins received a 2017 Tony nomination for his work, as did the production itself.
The company also includes Tony Carlin (Fish in the Dark) as the Doorman, Michael Countryman (Privacy) as Larkin, James Cusati-Moyer (A Soldier's Tale) as the Hustler, Ned Eisenberg (Rocky) as Dr. Fine, Lisa Emery (Casa Valentina) as Kitty, Keenan Jolliff (Youth in Oregon) as Woody, Peter Mark Kendall (Mercury Fur) as Rick, Cody Kostro (Dead Poet's Society) as Doug, Sarah Mezzanotte (The Wolves) as Elizabeth, Colby Minifie (Long Day's Journey Into Night) as Tess, Paul O'Brien (The Importance of Being Ernest) as the Detective, Chris Perfetti (Everybody) as Trent, Ned Riseley (Poster Boy) as Ben, and Michael Siberry (Spamalot) as Geoffrey.
Janney and Hickey play a wealthy New York couple who are captivated by the arrival of a young con man (Hawkins) purporting to be the son of actor Sidney Poitier.
